Without an assessment, you are just guessing – and guessing is gambling
Once the assessment process is completed, the hard work begins. I say hard work because it involves evolving and stabilizing new habits that are productive rather than self-sabotaging or self-limiting. Behavior change takes time – it is not an intellectual exercise. However, neither is it rocket science. With dedication and persistence, almost anybody can make the kinds of changes that make them a better leader. Of all my leadership-coaching clients, the only ones who have not become better leaders are those who could not maintain the dedication long enough to evolve the changes into habits. If you are ready to change, send me an e-mail and we will arrange a time to talk.

One Response to “Assess and Fine Tune Your Leadership Skills”

The use of assessments is of value as long as they are not the only consideration, but a starting point for one-on-one work that ensures the ‘leader’, ‘manager’ whoever, gets the right perspectives from where to view their performance.
This is ‘awareness’ and ‘responsibility’ that John Whitmore eloquently explains in ‘Coaching for Performance’.
